WHO WE ARE:

Ndokwa Association in America is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 charitable civic organization created by, and for the sons, daughters, and spouses of the Ukwuani and the Ndosumili areas of Delta State, Nigeria, living in the United States of America.

WHAT WE DO:

 

• We foster good relationship and unity among and between Ndokwa people in the United States of America and the general public.
• We attempt to improve the lives, welfare and status of all our children around the world, and the lives of those with whom they co-exist.
• We attempt to improve the quality of Ndokwa human capital through education and human resource development activities.
• We promote equity and access for all Ndokwa people in social, economic and cultural activities by providing enabling infrastructures in impoverished parts of Ndokwaland.
• We promote the visibility and the participation of Ndokwa people in all facets of public life.
• We promote peace and mutual co-existence amongst Ndokwa people and the public at large.

 

WHAT MOTIVATES US: 

 

 

Simply put, the love of our Ndokwa land, our patriotic duties to our adopted country (United States of America), our home country, Nigeria, the recognition of the plight of our brethren in Ndokwa land, and our desire to fulfill the tenets of responsible citizenship, are what motivates us to do what we do. We are determined to contribute to the establishment and the maintenance of the good reputation of all Ndokwa sons and daughters, wherever we are in the United States of America.

 

WHAT WE HAVE DONE:

 

Since its inception, the Ndokwa Association in America has awarded full four-year university scholarship to three students, per local government, in Ndokwa land, for the past eight years. 

Over the past eight years, the N.A.I.A, installed six borehole wells in remote rural communities of Ndokwa.

We have organized  conventions in various cities within the U.S.A., bringing together our Ndokwa diaspora. This event which takes place in a different city, every two years, features traditional dances, invited guests from Nigeria, and offers our children and our families the opportunity to make friends and renew old friendships.

 

WHERE OUR CHAPTERS ARE LOCATED:

 

The Ndokwa Association In America currently has eight chapters throughout the U.S.A. The chapters are:

• The Greater Washington, DC Chapter, which captures Ndokwa indigenes in the Baltimore-Washington-northern Virginia metro area.
• The New York/New Jersey/Connecticut Chapter, which captures Ndokwa indigenes in the tri-state area.
• The Florida Chapter which captures our brethren in the entire state of Florida.
• The Houston Chapter which caters to our Ndokwa brethren in the Houston metropolis and the environs.
• The Dallas Fort Worth Chapter serves the Dallas/Forth Worth metro area.
• The Atlanta, GA Chapter serving the greater Atlanta metro area.
• The Chicago, IL Chapter which serves the greater Chicago area, and
• The California Chapter, which serves the entire state of California.
• The Minnesota Chapter, which serves the entire state.

We encourage every Ukwuani and Ndosumili descendant, where ever, you may reside in the United States of America, to join the N.A.I.A. chapter nearest to you. Where ever there are ten Ndokwa sons and daughters, we encourage the formation of a chapter for the purpose of pursuing the goals of the association and for the support of each other.
